Mauro Cagliano - Cagliano Team

Mauro Cagliano, one of ROJ’s long-standing customers, runs a big farm together with his brother and father near Vercelli.

They specialized in third party work as well as owned land, soil working (milling, leveling, etc...), sowing (soy, corn, etc...) and harvesting. Moreover, they raise turkeys for the AIA firm.

At the end of 2016, they bought the first PCSW1 kit for a front hopper to cultivate rice. Thanks to the excellent results obtained on the fields after the first season, they decided to buy a second kit of the PCSW1 system and started to prepare a mechanical machine for Nardi mono-germ precision sowing with 6 DMD0 for 6 rows and 2 motors for micro-granulator and fertilizer hoppers.

Using innovative technologies, they decided to integrate their sowing machine with the satellite navigation of their John Deere tractor and with some prescription maps to obtain the best performance per hectare of the field.

These innovations allowed them to save:

- 12€/ha for each seed

- 5€/ha for the fertilizer
